Ohhh, hello!
It’s official. An 1,810-pound pumpkin grown by Chris Stevens of New Richmond has been declared the world’s heaviest. Inspectors from the Guinness Book of World Records checked out the massive pumpkin, after it won a competition earlier this month at a harvest festival in Stillwater, Minnesota. It has a circumference of over 15-feet. And it’s 85 pounds heavier than the previous record pumpkin, a 1,725-pounder grown in Ohio last year.
Stevens said he used a mixture of sun, rain, seaweed, cow manure, and fish emulsion to grow his record pumpkin... MSNBC
Sounds like a good excuse to go fishing!!!!
Pumpkin growers in the northern hemishpere
PUMPKINS! I kid you not when I exclaim we humans were outnumbered 3-1 by pumpkins at the market. If they had managed to hyper-evolve, grow legs, and learn karate we would have been shit out of luck. Some of them were large enough to fit both of my nephews in at once...

Pumpkin Growing Tip #1
If you haven't planted your seeds yet, give them a light rub with some fine sand paper, soak them in warm water for 3-4 hours, and then pop them in some warm potting mix. This will give them a great head start
